📢 Markham Cycling Day Postponed Due to the foreca 📢 Markham Cycling Day Postponed

Due to the forecasted inclement weather this weekend, Markham Cycling Day has been postponed to Sunday, June 28, 2026.

The safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and community is our top priority. While we're disappointed to delay the event, we're looking forward to welcoming everyone for a safer and more enjoyable day of cycling later this month.

✅ All registrations will automatically be transferred to the new event date. Consider cancelling if you can't attend the new date.

✅ Early Check-In will also be moved to the weekend of June 28. Updated check-in dates, times and event schedule will be shared with registered participants soon.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved.

We're excited to welcome thousands of riders and families to @mainstreetunionville for a day of biking fun.

✨ Before you arrive, please remember:

- Bring your helmet (required for all participants)
- Bring your event QR code for check-in (digital or printed)
- Bring a filled water bottle
- Check your bike's brakes, tires, bell, and gears before the event
- Riders under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian during Tour de Markham rides
This is a fun, non-competitive event — follow volunteer directions and obey traffic rules.

⏩ Skip the line with Early Check-In:
📍 Markham Civic Centre (Unionville Entrance)
- Friday, June 12 | 3–7 PM
- Saturday, June 13 | 10 AM–1 PM

Complimentary lunch is available for the first 2,500 participants who check in.
Children's race participants receive a free ice cream ticket at check-in.

Parking near the event site is limited. We encourage cycling, walking, or taking transit whenever possible.

We’re excited to welcome you back to our bike hubs at Milliken Mills and Centennial Community Centre, where another season of cycling, learning, and community is ready to roll. Whether you’re dusting off your bike for the first time this year or you ride year-round, we’re here to support your journey.

This season, you can look forward to our popular DIY bike repair workshops, where you’ll learn hands-on skills to keep your bike in top shape, plus access to our Bicycle Lending Library We’ll also be hosting community group rides, exploring different neighbourhoods across Markham, along with other programs and events throughout the season.

Our annual Halloween Glow Ride is happening next week, and it’s going to be the best ride of the season. Come in costume, deck out your bike with lights and spooky vibes, and join us for a glowing ride through the streets of Markham 🚲💡

All ages and skill levels welcome—meet us at the Centennial Bike Hub on Wednesday at 6 PM. Let’s end the season with a ride to remember!

Don’t let the cold, rain, or snow stop you from riding! Join us tonight at Milliken Mills Library for our Cycling in All Weather workshop, part of our ongoing series with Markham Public Library on bike maintenance and cycling in Markham.

We’ll cover everything you need to stay safe and comfortable on your bike all year long from choosing the right clothing and gear for wet or cold days, to bike maintenance and storage tips, winter route-planning, and safe riding techniques for all weather conditions.
