The first Markham Cycles More theme is: Markham’s Major Trails + One!
The theme runs from July 9 to 23 and celebrates Markham’s great trail system, with a photo stop location at each of the six major trails on Markham’s new cycling map (with two stops along the Rouge Valley Trail!).
The “+ One” refers to Enterprise Blvd, which is being opened only for cycling, walking and wheeling on Sundays and statutory holidays throughout the summer, as part of Markham’s Get Active Covid-19 response initiatives.

How to Participate
Sign up and set a summer cycling goal.
Then take a photo with your bike at as many of the photo stop locations above as you can from now until July 23.
Submit your photos via social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) using the hashtag #MarkhamCyclesMore and tagging @MarkhamCycles, or emailing it in (markhamcycles@cleanairpartnership.org).
You can also submit a suggestion for improvements to Markham’s Cycling Network. As the City continues to improve the trails, bike lanes and cycle tracks, City staff are looking for the public’s feedback on where infrastructure is missing and where adjustments and improvements can be made.
All submissions will be entered into a draw to win prizes. Draws will take place every two weeks, when a new theme and a new set of photo-stop locations will be announced.
Prizes
Prizes for Theme 1 will include a gift card to The Boiler Room at JoyRide150. Thank you for your generous contribution to encouraging cycling in Markham.
